Amanda Michelle Seyfried was born December 3, 1985 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is an American actress, model, and singer-songwriter. Her mother, Ann (née Sander), is an occupational therapist, and her father, Jack Seyfried, is a pharmacist. She graduated from Allentown and William Allen High School in 2003. Amanda Seyfried studies from Fordham University in
2003, but did not attend after being offered her role in Mean Girls.
Early Career and Success
In 2003, Seyfried auditioned to play the role of Regina George in Mean Girls. In 2005, Seyfried
played Samantha, in the film Nine Lives. Later on, she started becoming prominent due to her role in the highly acclaimed HBO drama television series Big Love. In March 2008, Seyfried appeared in the horror film Jennifer and Body as Anita and Needy. Later in 2010, Seyfried appeared in Letters to Juliet, which was released and was a box office success, generating US$80 million
worldwide.
Also in 2011, Seyfried became a spokesperson and model for a Japanese line of beauty products. Seyfried starred in the thriller Gone, released in early 2012. Later that year, she played in the musical film Les Misérables. The film, and her performance, was criticize, but was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture and earned a total of US$440 million worldwide which was quite a big success.
In 2013, Seyfried appeared in another film which was The Big Wedding, had a voice role in the successful animated movie Epic and played Linda Lovelace in the
biopic Lovelace. She also appeared in the 2013 drama The End of Love.

She has clearly stated this many times that she suffers from anxiety and panic attacks. In
addition she has stage fright and due to this she didn’t perform in theater productions until April
2015. Seyfried dated her Mamma Mia! Co-star Dominic Cooper on and off from 2008 to 2010, and
actor Justin Long from 2013 to 2015. Seyfried began dating Thomas Sadoski early in 2016. The
couple then confirmed their engagement on September 12, 2016, and by March 2017 they got
married in a secret, private ceremony. On March 24, 2017, it was announced that Seyfried had given
birth to the couple, first child which is a daughter.
