Career:

Arfa Khanum Sherwani started her career as a reporter for The Pioneer India. Then she moved to Electronic Media.

She joined at Indian Govt.owned Rajyasabha TV as an anchor for few years. She worked for various media channels like NDTV India, Live India, and Sahara Samay.

She was also a key member of Amir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate.

Some Of Her Notable Work:
• She covered Afghan Presidential Elections 2014 from Kabul and became the only Indian crew to have done so.
• She covered the Iranian Presidential election 2009 from Tehran. Have made two documentaries on Iranian society and women.
• First TV journalist to have covered the Sachar committee report and covered Batla House encounter from a sociological view.

She is currently served as Member of South Asian Women in Media ( SAWM) and also was the former Vice President, AMU Old boys’ association.
Arfa is currently working for The Wire where she is hosting a show called Arfa Ka India.
