She had a childhood scoliosis disorder. The disorder had weakened her spine and backbones aistline, causing her to wear a waistcoat throughout the school day.
Later, she was cured by surgery, but her dream of pursuing a career as a ballet dancer could not be fulfilled. He even attended several dance schools such as the Joffrey Belle School of Dance and the New England Ballet School in Connecticut before being diagnosed with a disorder.
1999, Brooke wrote a book called “Scoliosis: The Ascending Curve”, writing about her experience with the disease. It has founded the Connecticut Scullys Association.
