Elma started her career at Today’s Zaman during her time at College. She worked there as a Journalism Intern, who worked with various senior journalists to write joint articles for daily and weekly Print Edition as well as the Online edition.
She interviewed Sergey Korsunsky (Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey) for one of a local news agency.
Elma left Today’s Zaman in July 2014 after working there for 3 months.
In 2015 she joined Albany Times Union where she worked as a sideline reporter who was responsible for writing engaging and factually correct local news stories for the universities’ weekly print and online edition.
