Esther “Essie” Davis (born 30 November 1970 in Hobart, Tasmania) is an Australian performing artist and artist. She is best referred to for her parts as Phryne Fisher in Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and Amelia Vanek in The Babadook.
