One of the most charismatic actresses in the Hollywood today who marks her presence in any movie by her high spirited performances and also she is the second youngest actress to bag the prestigious Academy Award in Best Actress in a Leading Role category at just 22 years of age- we are talking about the aesthetic Jennifer Lawrence.

Born on 15 August 1990 Jennifer Shrader Lawrence in Indian Hills, the USA to Gary Lawrence, a construction worker and mother Karen, who is a summer camp manager. She always shone at when she did stage-plays in school. She studied at Kammerer Middle School, Louisville but dropped out at the age of 14 when she was spotted by a talent agent when she was on a vacation in New York with her family.

Career

Jennifer commenced her career in the entertainment industry by doing guests as well as main roles in TV series. The first TV series where Jennifer acted was “Company Town” (2006). Then, she appeared in various guest roles in some Tv series such as “Monk” (2006), “Cold Case” (2007) and “Medium” (2007/8). Jennifer landed a center role in “The Bill Engvall Show” (2007-09) where she was noticed for her performance and thus opened her path to movies. She also in “Saturday Night Live” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.

 

Lawrence debuted in Hollywood through a supporting role in a 2008 drama film “Garden Party”. In the same year, she appeared in an American drama film “The Poker House” and “The Burning Plain”.  In 2010, she got one of her major roles as Ree Dolly in an American drama film “Winter Bone” (2010) based on the novel of the same name. The movie got her a nomination in Academy awards for Best Actress.

Jennifer got her breakthrough role in an American Superhero film “X-Men: First Class” in 2011, a prequel and reboot to X-men film series. She then reprised her role in “X-Men: Days of Future Past” (2014) and “X-Men: Apocalypse” (2016) alongside Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy and so on. The movies were one of the highest grossing movies of their respective years and also help Jennifer in establishing her name in the industry.

 

Moreover, Jennifer is also the lead in another novel based sci-fi adventure film “The Hunger Games” (2012). She reprised the role of Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” (2013), “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1” (2014) and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2” (2015) alongside Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claffin and so on. The movie was a success globally and which made her the highest grossing action heroine of all time.

 

Jennifer got wider recognition from an American romantic-comedy drama “Silver Linings Playbook” alongside Bradley Copper. The performance of Lawrence in the movie was highly praised worldwide by critics as well as her fans. She also acted in many movies such as an American black comedy “American Hustle” (2013), an American-French drama “Serena” (2014), a documentary film “Dior and I” (2015), a biographical comedy-drama “Joy” (2015), a sci-fi film “Passengers” (2016), a horror film “Mother!” (2017) and recently, a spy thriller “Red Sparrow” (2018); all of these movies made her grow as an actor.

Upcoming Projects

This diligent actress is soon to reprise her role of Mystique in “X-Men: Dark Phoenix”, which is to be released in February 2019, alongside Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner and many more. After that, her audiences will see her in a series of biographical movies such as “Bad Blood”, “Its What I do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War” and “Zelda”; there has not been set a release date for all these movies. Additionally, she will also produce a film adaptation of the novel “Burial Rites”.

 

Personal Life

Jennifer owns a lavish home in Beverly Hills, California and also owns a loft in Manhattan. She was always into sports. She was a cheerleader, a softball as well as field hockey team member.  Her sporty nature resulted in two fatal accidents from horse riding and also knocked down by a car. Jennifer was in a 5-year long relationship with her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult. After they broke up, she had a short fling with “Coldplay” leader Chris Martin. Lately, she was reported to be in a relationship with an older film director Darren Aronofsky. She is a feminist and has commenced a noble organization named “Jennifer Lawrence Foundation”.

Jennifer has been the highest-paid actress in 2015 and 2016 with an earning of $52 million and $46 million respectively, but recently the spot has been taken by her good friend Emma Stone. Lawrence owns an $8 million house in Beverly Hills and her net worth is reported to be $120 million.
