Lena Headey Early life and Education
Lena Headey was born in Hamilton, Bermuda. Her father, was appointed as a police officer there, was
stationed there at the time. She has one younger brother. Her family moved to Somerset when she was
five, and then to Shelley, West Yorkshire when Headey was 11. Headey had her first experience of acting
when she was a student at Shelley College. From Royal National Theater, she moved to film industry and appeared in the film Waterland (1992).
The 1990’s: Debut and early roles
At the age of 17, she performed in a show and the casting agent took here photos for an audition. Later,
she got a role in the drama Waterland. She landed a small role in The Remains of the Day, which came
out in 1993.Her character of Katherine in The Jungle Book, 1994 had been praise worthy.
Headey appeared in Onegin as supporting a actress. The same year, she got a
role in the drama Aberdeen.
Headey played the role of Queen Gorgo in block buster film 300. Headey had to do nude scenes in the film. I’ss always weird the thought of taking your clothes off in front of 20 people and then to have it projected in front of other public through the screen, she told IndieLondon during an interview. I think it was necessary because we only get that scene to establish their relationship. It is a very obvious moment but

Headey has portrayed queen regent Cersei Lannister on the HBO series Game of Thrones, based on
George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels her performance as the ruthless queen has
received critical acclaim and got nomination for Scream Award of Best Fantasy actress category.
Headey nomination for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a
Drama Series for portraying Cersei in 2014, and 2016 made her a remarkable acterss. In 2017, Headey provided the voiceover for Mercedes A-Class television advertisement.
