He is a graduate of East Meadow High School, Rich earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Scranton.
Career:
He first worked as a sports producer and news videographer with WLNY-TV 10/55, before eventually becoming a general assignment news reporter and fill-in anchor for the Melville based news station.
During this time, Rich also served as the arena host at New York Islanders home games, conducting interviews with players and coaches and providing intermission reports on video screens for the crowd throughout the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
After spending nearly three years with WLNY, Rich became the Sports Anchor/Director for Verizon FiOS1 News Long Island & New Jersey and also wrote award-winning feature stories highlighting inspirational Long Islanders.
